How can I purchase a card?You can easily purchase your ISIC, IYTC, or ITIC online. To buy your card in the UK, click here. If you encounter any issues during the purchase process or have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at help@isic.org.uk. Please note that delivery times vary depending on your country's postal system, but it typically takes 3-4 weeks to process your online application and deliver your card.

Who can purchase an International Student Identity card?SIC cards are available to anyone aged 13 or older who is enrolled in full-time education, including school, college, university, apprenticeships, or professional qualifications. To qualify, you must be studying at least 15 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months during the year.

Who can purchase an International Teacher Identity Card?ITIC cards are available to teachers and teaching assistants (or those in equivalent roles) who work at least 18 hours per week for a minimum of one year.

Who can purchase an International Youth Travel Card?IYTC cards are available to individuals under the age of 35 in Thailand. Applicants under 16 must also provide a copy of their legal representative’s identity card (either an ID card or passport).

How are the cards different?All the cards offer similar international benefits, though they may look slightly different. Some brands provide exclusive offers for specific cards, which are clearly indicated in the 'discounts' section of our website. You can also find detailed information about the availability of each offer in the terms and conditions.

What do I need to apply for a card?ISIC (International Student Identity Card) The ISIC is available only to full-time students, so you must provide proof of your current full-time study at school, college, or university. When applying, please submit one of the following documents: A copy of your university or student ID card, clearly dated and showing you are a full-time student. A signed and dated letter on official university or school stationery confirming your full-time status. We prefer an original letter, but photocopies or faxes may be accepted. Additionally, you will need to provide: Proof of your date of birth (e.g., passport, birth certificate, or official identity card issued in your country of residence). A recent passport-sized photograph of yourself. ITIC (International Teacher Identity Card) The ITIC is available to full-time teachers or professors. To verify your full-time teaching status, you will need to submit a letter on official school or university stationery. The letter must confirm that you are employed at a recognized school, college, or university for at least 18 hours per week for a minimum of one academic year. You will also need to provide a recent passport-sized photograph of yourself. IYTC (International Youth Travel Card) The IYTC is available to young people aged up to and including 35 years old who are not full-time students. To apply, you must provide proof of your age with one of the following documents: Passport Birth certificate Official identity card issued in your country of residence Additionally, you will need to provide a recent passport-sized photograph of yourself.

Can I use my card as a form of identification?The ISIC card serves as official proof of student status and can be used for identification in various countries around the world. However, some countries may require a different form of personal identification, so it's a good idea to check local regulations before travelling. Please note that in the United States, the ISIC card is not accepted as a valid form of identification. Only government-issued forms of ID are recognized throughout the country.

What photo do I use?If we don't have a photo on file, you can upload one to your virtual ID through the ISIC Global app. Simply go to the menu, navigate to your profile screen, and upload a passport-style headshot photo for use on your virtual ID. You can also update your photo in the app at any time. If you need to remove your photo, please contact us, with your card number and the reason for the removal request. Once your photo is removed, you'll be able to upload a new one to your virtual card. Please note that your photo may be removed by the ISIC Global office if it doesn't meet the requirements (e.g., it’s not a headshot or doesn't clearly represent your likeness).

How long before I get my card?We aim to process all applications within 7-10 days, but in most cases, we process them even faster. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Once your application is successfully processed, you will receive an email notification, and you can access your virtual membership immediately through the ISIC app. Unfortunately, we currently don't offer a priority service.

How long does my card last?Your card is valid for one year from the date of issuance. We will send you an email notification as your card's expiration date approaches to remind you.

How do I activate my card?Once your application is successful, you will receive an email with your card's serial number. To activate your card, you'll need to enter this number. Before you start, make sure to download the ISIC app. Also, remember to use the same email address you used when purchasing your ISIC card to activate it in the app!

I haven't heard from you about my new card.First, please check your spam folder! If you don't find the email there, double-check that you've entered your email address correctly. If you're still having trouble, feel free to contact us.

I'm having problems activating my card!Please ensure that you have entered your name exactly as it appears on your ISIC application, and that you're using the same email address you used to purchase your ISIC card. Also, double-check that your ISIC card number has been entered correctly. If you're still experiencing issues, verify that your card hasn't expired. If the problem persists, please contact us.

I can't log in on the ISIC Global App.There are several reasons you might be unable to log in to the ISIC Global App: You’ve entered incorrect login details. There’s an issue with your account. You're using an ISIC profile that isn't accepted by the ISIC Global App. Here’s what you can do: Ensure you’ve created an ISIC Global App profile. Please note that any previous ISIC profiles (such as those created on local ISIC country sites) will not work with the app. Check that you're using the correct ISIC Global App profile. If you've previously created a profile on a local ISIC site, it’s different from the one used in the ISIC Global App. If you're still experiencing issues, please contact us at mobiletickets@isic.org for further assistance.

Can I cancel my card?Unfortunately, once a card has been issued it is not possible to cancel.
